Mechanical Design Engineer

Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Edwardsville, KS

Description:

- Responsible for the design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation and estimating for new product design

- Responsible for the refinement of existing catalog of products

- Concepting and sketching, SolidWorks 3D modeling, hands-on prototyping, testing on state of the art test rig

- Collaborating with Design team

- Being hands on when needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- 5 years experience as a problem solver

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar engineering degree, preference given to mechanical or plastics engineering

- Past work experience in new product design and development

- Knowledge of plastics design for injection molding and rotationally molded components

- High mechanical aptitude as shown through previous designs

- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling software

- Creative Designer expirience, thinking outside the box and coming up with new concepts for design.

- Plastics and Injection or Rotational Molding expirience is a big plus

- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing is a plus
