What are the responsibilities and job description for the MES Engineer position at Actalent?
MES Engineer - Wooster, OH - Onsite
We are hiring for a skilled MES Engineer to manage services, application development, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and maintenance for multiple systems within the food industry! The team is using AVEVA/Wonderware, which you are not required to have experience with to start, however you must have experience with MES. This role requires someone to understand/read Ladderlogic, but they will not be programming PLCs. You will have hybrid flexibility - onsite Monday's and Thursday's!
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling AVEVA/Wonderware’s Archestra Control System
- Modifying Microsoft Visual Studio C# applications
- Working with AVEVA's Operations, Performance, Quality MES modules, and AVEVA Work Tasks BPM software
- Managing AVEVA’s BI Gateway, Rockwell PLCs, Microsoft Power BI Report Server, Power BI Power Platform, and data migration to Power BI.
- Responsible for data feeds using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, server management, data visualization, collaboration for data transformation, creating DAX calculations, and ensuring data security.
- Travel up to 25% to other internal sites is required.
Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related technical field
- 6 years of relevant professional experience
- AVEVA/Wonderware Archestra
- Understanding of Ladder logic - Will not be programming but need to be able to read it
- Experience with PowerBI or another similar data reporting software
