Job Description
In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks such as blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information. You will be responsible for collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, and you will explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients in a clear and courteous manner. You will also be responsible for matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, packaging specimens for transport, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations. You will also be expected to attend annual department trainings and answer telephone calls to satisfy inquiries.
Hard Skills
- Valid Phlebotomy certification
- Experience performing venipunctures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to explain complex procedures to patients

- Good communication skills
Job Type
This is a contract-to-hire position with an initial duration of 13 Week(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Merritt Island, Florida.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. You may be required to handle biohazardous specimens and will need to comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Regular training will be provided to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest procedures and regulations.
