What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - WV position at Actalent?
Description:
Minimum of 1 year (recent) of verifiable phlebotomy experience
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Has comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety and is able to effectively communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees
Must have a firm baseline of phlebotomy experience (include knowledge about draws, needles, tubes/which tests go in which tubes, etc.)
Skills:
venipuncture, blood draw, specimen collection, Straight needles sticks, Phlebotomy, Phlebotomy certification, Pediatric, geriatrics
Work Environment:
This is a VERY SMALL CLINIC
They mainly do drug testing, not a lot of blood draw since this an addiction clinic . about 5 patients or less a month they will draw on.
Hours: M-T- 10am-6PM
Friday- 10am-4pm
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Phlebotomy certification preferred or completion of an approved phlebotomy training course, or equivalent experience through previous employment.
Experience working on EMR/computer systems (be able to type)
Ability to handle up to draws per day and handle processing
Must have a strong ability to multi-task with great customer-service skill
