Piping Designer

Looking for an experienced structural designer with a background using CADworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel structural designs and have several years of experience.

Description:

• Drafters 5 years experience
• Pace - would need to confidently say they are experienced doing structural drawings can take the lead from design engineer and turn into a series of drawings to show how a structure needs to fabricated
• Typical work load is one project at a time- they have 2 active projects and a 3rd coming up
• Drafting-producing drawings
• CADworks- is a must - separate drafting and similar to CAD 3D
• 2D Bricksworks - substitutes for autocad 2D
• Drafter does not need a bachelors degree
• Mark up and redlining existing schematics for piping systems and racking systems
• Take doc from engineers to drawings

Projects:

• Building process plant- chemical plant- picture a refinery
• Process Plant has a lot of structural steel for pipe racks
• Support structures for piping and equipment
• Cold Box- major piece of cryogenic equipment
• Distillation towers in a round box- steel box that protects what's inside and used for transporting it from where it is being built
• Hundreds of tons of steel- box weight needs to be survived being lifted by
• First project 1 North America and 1 in India - if they have out of the US project experience and building code in foreign countries
• 60ft tall to 250ft tall cooling box- dealing with wind and earthquake loads
• Pipe supports, ladders, platforms
• Steel structure holding up storage tanks- cylinders
• Stress Analysis and computational work
