Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mid-Level Process Engineer to join our team in the defense sector robotics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Manufacturing principles, and a proven track record in process optimization within the defense industry.
Description:
- Develop and implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes by Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production processes and enhance overall operational performance.
- Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing projects, ensuring timely completion and achievement of project objectives.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process inefficiencies and quality issues.
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in lean manufacturing and defense technologies, and integrate relevant innovations into process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of process engineering activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the defense industry.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with a Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with process simulation and modeling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations (e.g., ITAR, MIL-STD), is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required for defense-related projects.
Additional Information:
- Long term contract (12 months).

- Pay Rate: $40-$50/hr.
