Job Description

Under general direction, the Production Planner is responsible for creating work orders, scheduling production, and coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials to support the established MRP production schedule. The Production Planner is usually responsible for planning activities for either a moderate depth of top- and sub-assemblies or a moderate breadth of differing lines of production. The Production Planner accomplishes this by coordinating with the operations and procurement teams to ensure the movement of materials and resources through departments to meet production schedules.

Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in scheduling/production planning.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment (this is very fluid…. If they have 3-5 years in manufacturing / lean and understand process flow through manufacturing.)
• Knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions; Knowledge of scheduling and capacity planning tools; Level loading and their application to manufacturing processes; Familiarity with raw
• components and their interchangeability
• Ability to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple inputs and outputs
• ERP exp- oracle preferred
• being able to multitask and shift priorities
