Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee a water system change project that includes utility work, civil work, paving, and minimal mechanical and electrical work. This project encompasses all phases of general construction and will be performed on a secured building. The ideal candidate must have 5 years of QC experience in mechanical, electrical, or utility work. While a clearance is not required, the candidate must be clearable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of general construction for a water system change project.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct construction inspections and review construction drawings.
- Implement and enforce OSHA regulations and site safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders including the Superintendent/SSHO and Project Manager.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project progress and quality control issues.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of Quality Control Management experience in the federal construction space.
- Proficiency in construction inspection and reviewing construction drawings.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or utility experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Quality Control Manager certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- EM385-1-1 certification is a plus.
- Experience with site safety management.
Work Environment
Work will be performed on-site at the Philly Navy Yard. You will work alongside a Superintendent/SSHO and Project Manager to run the project. The environment will involve working on a secured building within the Philadelphia area. Our client is a well-established General Contractor in the DMV area, expanding into Pennsylvania, and looking to build a strong future team with a large pipeline of upcoming work.
