What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking a Quality engineer for a client of ours in Clinton, TN.
Description:
- Develops and maintains quality methodologies, systems, and practices to meet the Customer’s needs.
- Support quality engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of programs, including; contract review, product design reviews, develop inspection and test plans, manufacturing process approval, determine customer approval needs, support scrap and rework reduction efforts, and customer corrective action requests.
- Provide support to Quality Manager assisting in day-to-day activities involving internal, supplier, and customer issues and/or concerns.
- Direct and develop quality personnel as directed by, and in absence of Quality Manager.
- Support quality systems development and maintenance.
- Facilitates corrective action and improvement activities.
- Maintain/Support Fast Response & QCAR documentation and audit assignments.
- Defect reduction activities with focus on root cause analysis
- Lead continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate defect reduction activities.
- Analyze failures and initiate corrective actions.
- Act as Liaison with Customers.
- Facilitate APQP activities.
