What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revit Drafter position at Actalent?
***IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A REVIT DRAFTER***
A growing, mid-sized engineering firm has an immediate need for a Revit Technician. The Revit Technician will be responsible for modeling and drafting Water Treatment Facilities and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. This person will primarily being using Revit to create 3D models of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants. In addition, this person will also use AutoCAD to create 2D construction drawings of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. This is a long term opportunity to work with Indiana's premier water resources firm. This position offers training opportunities within the civil industry. All qualified candidates will be up for immediate consideration.
Qualifications:
*1 year of professional experience utilizing Revit
*The willingness to learning the civil engineering industry
*Willingness to work in AutoCAD on occasion
*Possesses the ability to be coachable
Job Duties:
*This person will primarily being using Revit to create 3D models of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants.
*In addition, this person will also use AutoCAD to create 2D construction drawings of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
*Designing/Modeling entire projects in all specialties - HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing , Process Piping, Machine/Equipment Layout, Structural, Architectural.
*Will have a mix of working in the office as well as working out of the office - will work in office the vast majority of time but will go in field occasionally for site visits/measurements
*The Revit Tech will get to do design work and will be taught how to design by some of the state's top engineers

*Water/Wastewater Engineering is recession proof - there is always going to be work & government is pumping money into infrastructure
*Water/Wastewater Engineering has a significant impact on society - very important and this person can make a difference
Hours:
Standard work week is M-Th 7:00AM to 5:00PM and 7:00AM-11:00AM on Friday Also the person can work 8:00AM to 5:00PM M-F. Average week is 44-45 hours.
Training:
Training will be provided in this position, but candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. The training will mostly be around the water/wastewater aspect of the job.
