Actalent Engineering is seeking a SCADA Engineer who specializes in the design and construction of power systems for renewable energy and battery storage projects. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining diagrams, programming and commissioning SEL Real-Time Automation Controllers (RTACs), building RTAC HMIs, editing IED communication settings, managing procurement and logistics, configuring networking equipment, maintaining documentation, and supervising field installations. The role also involves creating bids and proposals, assisting with HMI and historian construction, managing SCADA projects, and handling project schedules using ClickUp.
This is an opportunity for long-term growth within a stable team serving utilities nationally and would entail up to 25% travel to sites from coast to coast.
Requirements:
- Programming and commissioning SEL RTACs
- Building RTAC HMIs using SEL Diagram Builder
- Editing IED communication settings
- Managing SCADA equipment procurement and logistics
- Configuring routers, firewalls, and switches
- Performing points checks
- Creating bids and proposals
- Using Inductive Automation’s Ignition software
- Managing project schedules with ClickUp
- Programming techniques and algorithms
