Our client, a leader in the Nuclear Industry is looking for a qualified Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their team in the Mississauga area on a contract basis.
Description:
The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be handed a system and will have to own it from day one. In different phases of engineering, they may need to be 90% focused on Loop diagrams then another time be focused 90% on logic diagrams. All the systems the consultant will be supporting will be taking the work from conceptual design, moving it through preliminary design and so forth. Consultants will be dealing with the selection & design of various systems for their projects. This could include the design for the logic controls and various others to the DCS (distributed Control System) for projects such as the turbine generating system. This is for Darlington New Build Project to support engineering for the Small Modular Reactor.
Requirements:
- P.Eng or EIT status
- Ability to obtain the Nuclear Security Clearance
- Experience in Process Automation from I&C, specifically more focused on Instrumentation and less on Controls.
- Design experience including data sheets, control narratives, logic diagrams, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, IO/instrument indexes
- Plant 3D or other software for modelling is required
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Design Experience from the Nuclear Industry
Nuclear Clearance at OPG or Bruce Power
