What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Construction Manager position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking an experienced Solar Construction Manager to support a solar and battery storage project in Jasper and Starke Counties, Indiana to help provide more renewables resources to the surrounding community. Candidate can expect to work 60 hour work weeks with 1.5OT and 15 months on site. Per diem x7 is available for non-local candidates.
Description:
-Work alongside site CM's with limited solar construction experience and advise proper next action based on current construction activity progress/status
-Ability to look ahead to proactively intercept/neutralize job-delaying complications
-Assist with project documentation and recommend record keeping methods as required to ensure the effective planning, operation and control of project activities
-Work with site management to provide oversight & guidance ensuring all aspects of projects are safely built to specification, meeting codes and industry best practices
-Will review project schedules/progress logs and reports to ensure timely, safe and code compliant installation
Qualifications:
-5 year of total CM experience with at least 3 years of that experience being solar construction from cradle to grave on utility-scale solar projects
-Must be familiar with all aspects of mechanical and electrical installation for solar (DC feeders, AC/DC terminations, inverter and transformer installation, and electrical testing)
-Has basic project budgeting/cost control skills
Preferred Experience:
-Any project management software such as MS project, Procore, or P6
-Solar commissioning experience
-30-hour OSHA Certification
-NABCEP PV Installer Certification
