Job Description
The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for achieving corporate supply chain performance targets, focusing on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order-to-delivery results. This role involves deploying the Supply Chain Planning Process, developing plans for every part, and implementing pull replenishment methods within a facility. The incumbent will work with diverse, multi-functional teams to create lean material flow plans, which may include changes to factory floor layout and material presentation. This position requires hands-on engagement with production employees and physical, tactical work to meet supply chain objectives.
Responsibilities
- Achieve corporate supply chain performance targets related to inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order-to-delivery results.
- Deploy the Supply Chain Planning Process, including developing the Plan for Every Part and pull replenishment methods.
- Collaborate with diverse, multi-functional teams to develop lean material flow plans and implement changes to factory floor layout and material presentation.
- Gather and analyze data on facility demand, supplier shipping performance, and variability for production parts.
- Develop material flow plans for incoming materials and maintain a site-level Flow Map for production parts.
- Lead the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts in documenting data into the Plan for Every Part web tool.
- Coach facility employees on utilizing templates to load and maintain data in the web tool, and provide necessary reports and information.
- Perform physical, tactical work to implement supply chain planning processes and develop plans for every value stream in the facility.
- Direct the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts and lead cross-functional teams to reduce/eliminate supply chain constraints.
- Perform activities within the factory, including labeling racks, auditing ILC, and deploying 5S materials.
Essential Skills
- Experience and knowledge of complex lean concepts and tools.
- Experience with CPS supply chain principles and material replenishment tools and processes.
- Strong understanding of common supply chain systems.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Six Sigma Project Management principles.
- Leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements and manage resources.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Analytics or similar
- Ability to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets, including improvements in order-to-delivery time, inventory levels/turns, MQ Certification requirements, and supply chain assessments.
- Strong people focus and leadership abilities to fulfill responsibilities for leading teams.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on shop floor position at the Decatur site, requiring interactions with assemblers and performing activities within a factory.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25
