Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Survey Technician to join our paving crew. This role is essential in ensuring the precise and efficient operation of our paving equipment, including Trimble total station survey equipment and Leica equipment with Gomaco paving machines. While prior experience with these systems is a plus, we provide training to the right candidate. If you have a background in surveying and a strong desire to contribute to the success of paving projects, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Operation: Operate Trimble total station survey equipment and Leica equipment integrated with Gomaco paving machines to facilitate stringless paving.
2. Survey Understanding: Apply your survey knowledge to interpret design plans and ensure accurate alignment of paving equipment with project specifications.
3. Training: Participate in training programs to become proficient in the operation of paving systems and equipment.
4. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain equipment performance to achieve precise paving results and meet quality standards.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the paving crew, project managers, and surveyors to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless project execution.
6. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime during paving operations.
7. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in surveying is required.
- Familiarity with Trimble total station survey equipment or similar systems is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to work applicable hours, which may include evenings and weekends, depending on project schedules.
