Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team focusing on electromagnetic actuator and valve development and validation in the engine valve domain. This opportunity involves product engineering for engine control valves, with the majority of time spent in the lab. This role supports Hydraulic valve testing/development, managing valves that control gas to an engine, throttle valves, bypass and fluid valves. As part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting various projects, including New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), and field failure. Although you can work from home, lab visits are required 2-3 days a week depending on the work load. New team members will start on field failures to learn and then will transition into CPI and NPI roles.

Hard Skills

• 0-5 years of relevant experience
• Electrical understanding and aptitude
• Car repair
• Understanding of engine and emission control systems
• Understanding of electricity & magnetism and how it is applied to actuate mechanical and hydraulic mechanisms
• Ability to create detailed & actionable verification and validation test plans
• Experience working with internal test labs, supplier test labs, and machine/engine field testing sites
• Ability to interpret GD&T, technical drawings, and schematics

Job Type

This is a indefinite contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s) and will be renewed annually.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Peoria, Illinois.

Work Environment

The role is based at Building AC - Mossville, IL, with a mix of onsite and remote work. Remote work is possible after 6 months of training. You may need to visit the lab 2-3 days a week depending on the workload.
