Shop Coordinator
Action Lock & Key is currently seeking a dedicated Shop Coordinator to join our team in the Burlington area.
Action Lock & Key is a family-owned business serving the Boston Metro area for over 30 years. Our door and locksmith services are just a phone call away. We specialize in commercial lock and door security. We sell, install and service panic exit devices, automatic operators, electronic locking devices, card and digital access systems, ADA compliant access, commercial master key systems, any lock, door, or re-keying needs. We can specify the appropriate hardware for any application. Our professionally trained locksmiths are committed to staying up to date on cutting edge technology to provide our customers with prompt, expert service every time. There is no job too large or too small for our trained locksmiths to perform.
Job Summary: This position is one of our customer's initial interactions with the company and providing a professional and pleasant experience is paramount to the company's success. Primary responsibility is for the efficient and effective management of the service operations of the company and the daily customer interactions in the shop. This includes overseeing the daily dispatching and shop efficiencies of staff.
Work Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Compensation : Up to $26 per hour, depending on experience.

Job duties:
- Promote and ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide support and direction to field service technicians with proper business processes and protocols
- Maintain professional relationship with suppliers, vendors, and customers
- Provide over the counter (OTC) and bench service to walk-in customers and write up invoices or take payments
- Assist with parts to order for timeliness of need and stock
- Review daily jobs and ensure tech notes, parts listed, and invoice quality are correct
- Work with lead tech to prep, organize contracts and Purchase Orders, and coordinate quoted jobs for utmost efficiency
- Work with management to maintain daily operations and oversight
- Able to lift/carry a minimum of 40 pounds
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
What you'll need to have:
- Must be Reliable
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Detail oriented with a strong understanding of customer service and employee relations
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Mechanically inclined/logical thinker
- Ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations with professionalism.
- Ability to pass a CORI and Department of Public Safety Licensing every two years
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to work independently as well as a team, a must.
- Background in basic bookkeeping/accounting
