Overview: The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers; ensuring their satisfaction and fostering account growth. This role involves acting as the primary liaison between customers, internal cross-functional teams, and external regional sales representatives. The position is an in-person, at the office position, and requires excellent communication and coordination skills to deliver timely and successful solutions tailored to customer needs.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture favorable long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to understand their requirements and expectations.

2. Account Growth:

  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts.
  • Responsible for gross profit growth within existing accounts.
  • Track and report on key metrics to measure account growth and performance.

3. Liaison Role:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and Action’s cross-functional internal teams (such as purchasing, customer service, and operations).
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between internal teams to meet customer needs and deliver solutions promptly.
  • Act as the main point of contact for outside regional sales representatives, facilitating communication and coordination with their customers and internal teams.

4. Coordination and Communication:

  • Facilitate regular check-ins and updates with customers and internal teams to discuss project status, challenges, and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions in the CRM, project progress, and account activities.

5. Feedback and Improvement:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in services and processes.
  • Work with internal teams to implement improvements and enhance the customer experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve account management strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in account management or a related role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent phone and email communication.

Working Conditions:

  • This is an in-person position requiring regular office attendance from 8-5.
  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with customers or attend industry events.
  • This position reports directly to the Sales Manager Benefits
