Job Summary:
We are a growing Audiology practice currently seeking a part-time employee. We are looking for someone with good customer service skills, able to multi-task, eager to learn, and work well in a group. If you have experience working with a different specialty, please apply. Experience is preferred but not necessary. We will train the right candidate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets visitors, ascertains purpose of visit, and directs them to appropriate staff.
- Interviews patients to complete documents, case histories, medical records and forms such as intake forms Compiles and records medical charts, reports, and correspondence using a computer and various software programs. Transmits correspondence and medical records by mail, email, or fax.
- Complete Insurance verification
- Schedules and confirms patients or claimants’ appointments and medical consultations.
- Answers telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Ability to type 30WPM
- Receives and routes messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff.
- Operates office equipment such as voicemail messaging systems, and uses word processing, spreadsheet, and other software to prepare reports, invoices, case histories, and medical records.
- Maintains medical records, technical library, and correspondence files.
- Performs various clerical and administrative functions such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
- Must comply with wearing protective masks which we will provide for your health and the health of others
- Due to COVID-19 sanitizing office equipment and surrounding areas to maintain a safe work environment
Requirments/Abilities:
- High level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask with great attention to detail.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening (background check).
- Reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of office experience required; two years preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
