Your Mission


We’re looking for a Director to join Activision Blizzard! Working with our Legal team and reporting to the Vice President, Legal, you’ll provide strategic advice and legal counsel regarding labor relations, collective bargaining, benefits and related issues. Activision is looking for an experienced and motivated lawyer to join our in-house legal team as a close, trusted business partner, providing advice on a variety of legal issues, including but not limited to:

  • Advise leadership and internal business partners on labor relations, collective bargaining agreements and recommend problem-solving solutions.
  • Manage outside counsel in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, including helping to develop negotiation strategies and preparing proposals for negotiations, as well as overseeing all litigation, arbitration and/or legal proceedings related to grievances, unfair labor practice charges, or other issues related to the NLRA and organized activity.
  • Lead and advise on all training, education and communications related to labor relations.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources, Employee Relations, Communications, and other internal business partners to develop long term strategies for improving employee relations and increasing employee engagement.
  • Advise on all benefits related issues including disability claims, leaves of absence, accommodation requests, 401(k) and health and welfare plans.
  • Respond promptly to a wide range of requests from across the business and legal teams.
  • Collaborate with international and cross-functional colleagues to provide global guidance on diverse legal issues.

Player Profile

  • J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Membership in at least one state bar (CA preferred).
  • 7 years of experience practicing employment and labor relations law. Experience in benefits law also a plus.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in drafting, negotiating and/or interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues across the business.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player, leadership qualities and ability to independently handle multiple, diverse projects simultaneously and under deadlines.
  • Great business judgment with a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and collegiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic industry and where there is ambiguity and flex in the business and legal environment.
  • Strong ethics, collaboration and influencing skills.
