What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Benefits Analyst position at ACV?
What are we looking for: As a part of the Total Rewards team and reporting to the Manager of Benefits, the Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for enterprise-wide administration of ACV’s robust benefit plans including but not limited to; health and welfare, retirement, and wellness. The role of the Senior Benefit Analyst is to ensure that all benefit plans are administered in compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. The Senior Benefits Analyst will serve as a resource for Teammates, People & Culture team members, Managers, and other departments with whom we partner on questions related to benefits. The incumbent is expected to perform the majority of job responsibilities independently.What you’ll be doing:Oversee all US benefit programs; including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k) and voluntary benefit options.Act as a primary contact and team resource for escalated benefit questions/issues.Lead benefit plan compliance activities: plan documents, SPDs, non-discrimination testing, 5500 preparation, contract renewals, 401(k) audits, etc.Analyze and interpret benefit benchmarking studies, plan design comparison reports, and develop cost analysis option reports for presentation to senior staff.Acts as a project manager and leader for complex benefit projects.Administer the open enrollment process, including but not limited to; communication with vendors, Teammate communication and training material development, partnering with Business Systems team in system configuration and testing, enrollment audits, etc.Responsible for the creation and development of benefit training material for presentation to the People Team, ACV Teammates, and new hires.Reconcile invoices and ensure accurate vendor bill payments quarterly and annually.Partner with ACV’s Business Systems team on system upgrades and issue resolution, reports and vendor file feeds.Proactively plan for changes to Federal and State law changes that impact ACV benefit offers, develop solutions, implement process and policy changes, and prepare communications to People Team, Managers and Teammates, as needed.Responsible for leading ACV’s wellness program, developing and monitoring the budget, and increasing Teammate engagement.Responsible for managing ACV’s Teammate Perks program, including the development of monthly newsletters, creating program enhancements, and managing relationships with vendors.Maintain and interpret plan documents; documents include: Medical files including all health and life insurance documentation; 401(k) information; short-term disability; FMLA; COBRA; HIPAA certificates.Oversee and maintain relationships with benefits vendors and service providers to ensure that ACV Auctions is receiving optimal service.Provide support and acts as a secondary resource for the administration of ACV’s leave programs including; STD, FMLA, and state specific leaves.Maintain working knowledge of Canadian benefits for administration on an as needed basis.Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the benefits team.Perform other duties as assigned.What you will need:A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum of 6 years’ experience in benefits program management; benefit administration including vendor relationships and process and procedure development.Experience working with multi-state benefits is strongly preferred.Experience working with multi-country benefits is strongly preferred.Knowledge of state and federal benefit laws and regulations required.Demonstrable ability to forge effective relationships with internal and external customers.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time.Self-starter who thrives in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrated experience with open enrollment, managing projects, compiling analytical data and reports required.Experience leading and participating in wellness initiatives.Experience working with Payroll and Business Systems Teams.What we will offer:Comprehensive benefits offerings for benefits eligible Teammates.Unique culture that truly values each and every Teammate.
