Job description
Mid-Atlantic Medical Equipment, an AdaptHealth company is a respiratory medical equipment company seeking an energetic, hard working, organized individual for a full time Hospital Liaison position. This is an outside sales position in the field working in hospitals with case managers and physicians and is considered entry-level medical sales. The position will cover a hospital in the Rosedale, Maryland area.
The ideal candidate for this shall demonstrate strong communication skills, strong work ethic, professionalism, and computer proficiency. Job Duties:
- Be knowledgeable of and responsible for the current AdaptHealth policies and procedures that apply to this position.
- Represent AdaptHealth in a professional manner in face to face contact with patients, referral sources and hospital personnel.
- Responsible for maintaining and increasing revenue from hospital orders.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining cordial relations between AdaptHealth and hospital referral sources.
- Communicate between AdaptHealth management and the hospital physicians and staff, to address needs and resolve problems.
- Take complete and accurate orders for products and services.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of home equipment, insurance guidelines, eligibility, and reimbursement for patients.
- Process payments and set patients up on AutoPay per AdaptHealth policy.
- Establish and maintain patient files with complete patient information.
- Obtain signatures and required documentation from hospital referrals to ensure payable status on all orders generated from the hospital, including but not limited to detailed written orders, CMNs, and face to face notes that meet insurance guidelines.
- Provide periodic reporting and referral logs to AdaptHealth management as needed.
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Assist AdaptHealth in meeting its growth and financial goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Job Qualifications:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· Minimum 2 years HME/Healthcare, office work, home delivery field, sales or equivalent.
· Strong command of the English language. Legible handwriting.
· Professional personal hygiene and appearance.
· Must possess current driver’s license appropriate for job duties.
· Must be able to organize duties and follow up.
· Must be detail-oriented and be able to respond appropriately to disruptions in routine.
· Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately. Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently each day.
· Must be able to sit, stand or drive for long periods of time. Must be able to handle stressful situations for short periods of time.
