About this role
Adaptiva is seeking an experienced Renewals Manager to join our team. The Renewals Manager will be responsible for engaging existing Adaptiva customers to track their journey using our products, drive retention, managing the renewal process for our existing customer base, ensuring high renewal rates and customer satisfaction.
The Renewals Manager will report to the Vice President, Sales and will work with a geographically dispersed team and geographically distributed customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a desire to work hard and grow professionally, a strong customer focus and a track record of successfully managing client relationships.
Given the importance of this role to the overall company objectives, this is an in-person role based out of our offices in Kirkland, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Own a book of business with a renewal quota, serving as the primary contact for decision-makers.
- Proactively engaged with customers to understand their needs and ensure a seamless renewal process.
- Develop and execute renewal and upsell strategies to maximize renewal rates, minimize churn and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, and other internal teams to address customer concerns and drive successful renewals.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities during the renewal process, and coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Prepare and present renewal proposals and contracts to customers.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing as needed to secure renewals.
- Monitor and accurately report on customer accounts, renewal pipeline, gross retention and renewal forecast on a regular basis.
- Provide regular reports on renewal pipeline, risks, and opportunities.
- Help customers calculate and monetize business value. Drive quarterly reporting with customers, measuring business value, penetration, usage and adoption.
- Document and evangelize customer success stories within Adaptiva.
- Ensure customer feedback is clearly captured and conveyed internally appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and renewal status in the CRM system.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in a similar role, managing software/SaaS customers renewals.
- Proven track record of meeting renewal targets, helping accounts reach initial goals, and expansion to other areas of value.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-departmental teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a persuasive and influential demeanor.
- Competent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are essential.
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to meetings and events to engage with customers.
- Experience with modern device management products, endpoint management software or cyber security preferred.
- Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

The annual total compensation range for this position is between $160,000 – $200,000, split equally between base pay and commission. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.
The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus and/or commission, and very generous benefits.
