Insurance Follow Up Rep

Looking for a new position? One of the largest Oncology companies in the country is looking for Insurance Follow Up Specialist to join their Medical Billing teams ASAP. Location: Norfolk, VA

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Pay: Up to $24/hour based on experience

Job Description:

• Seeking insurance follow up specialists to join the team for payer and patient account follow up.
• Will be performing collections activities such as monitoring delinquent accounts, contacting patients for account payment, resolving billing problems, and answering routine and non-routine account inquiries.
• Reviews reports, identifies denied claims, researches and resolves issues, may perform a detailed reconciliation of accounts and resubmit claim to payer
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are current
• Works with co-workers to resolve payment and billing errors
• Monitors and updated delinquent accounts status
• Verifies patients have necessary referral and/or authorization documentation prior to examination date.
• Contacts and follows up with patients physician for any missing or incomplete documentation.

Candidate profile and qualifications:

• 6 years of Medical Billing experience, at least 2 years in follow up
• EMR experience necessary, Epic preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
