A NJ based media company is looking for a staff accountant to join a growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily cash reports
- Chargeback management including research, response, and entry in a timely manner
- Liaison between general accounting, Order Management, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare analysis for print production and events expense to determine proper month end accruals
- Analyze of revenue and expense accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Management of full account analysis files (month end schedules) for manager review
- Assist with the yearly financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules
- Assist accounts payable and receivable
- Perform administrative tasks to support the Finance Department
- 2-3 years of accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Experience with NetSuite, Concur, Excel (pivots & V-Lookups)
- Ability to work with a team but also independently and take initiative to resolve problems by researching history in order to create and propose solutions
- Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities for professional growth
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to perform administrative and support tasks daily
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to be proactive, accurate, and melilotus about details
