What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Manager position at Administrative Office?
The Grant Manager is responsible for preparation of proposals and grant applications, and performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of affordable housing, care giving & supportive services to seniors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of three years’ related experience in grant writing and contract administration required
- Prior management experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and success in securing new funding and identifying potential funding opportunities required
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently researches and identifies government and private funding prospects.
- Identifies funding opportunities and new program areas to match institutional priorities, using research tools.
- Independently generates proposals and supporting documents in response to grant solicitations and opportunities.
- Ensures all application requirements are successfully met and information submitted is thorough and accurate.
- Generates revenues for Presbyterian Senior Living programs and services through timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented fund-raising proposals.
- Writes and prepares required follow up reports to government, foundations and other funders.
- Acts as liaison with resource development and operational staff.
- Serves as a liaison to all funding agencies or organizations.
- Engages with program officers at organizations to solicit invitations to submit proposals.
- Completes special projects as needed to support the organization.
