About the role
An ADP Client is actively seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join their team in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
SUMMARY: Administers human resource policies, programs, and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing. Duties include formulating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending policies and practices to management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for labor relations and provides advice and counsel on personnel issues.
- Acts as a liaison between union representative and company.
- Proposes, publishes, and administers personnel policies.
- Stays current on recent federal, state, and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.
- Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Conducts research, assimilates data, and creates a wage/salary scale.
- Directs benefits administration.
- Audits plant supervisor’s adherence to the company policies, i.e., time and attendance, pre- and post-dress time, and PAR accuracy.
- Creates and manages job descriptions.
- Prepares performance review forms and directs the distribution of the forms to supervisory personnel.
- Develops and administer an effective recruitment program.
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing; writes advertisements. Utilizes corporate recruiting services.
- Finalizes all HR internal audits and approves necessary adjustments.
- Dictates and/or creates all necessary correspondence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the Human Resources Generalist and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and assisting in disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, five to eight years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes having the ability to influence management when appropriate.
- Understands the organization’s value proposition and can articulate fundamentals of business and how the units tie together.
- Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute action plans.
- Experience in all HR concentration areas such as benefits; compensation; workforce planning and employment; employee relations; occupational health, safety, and security; strategic management; employee development; and training.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
