About the role
VP of Electronic Engineering
An ADP client is currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next VP of Engineering and to join our team in our Suwanee, GA location. This is NOT a remote or hybrid role.
Who We Are:
We manufacture broadband amplifier “drop-ins,” complete stations and accessories - enabling broadband operators worldwide the ability to reduce customer service interruption and time-on-site for the technician while simultaneously eliminating the need for full-splicing when replacing modules.
What you’ll do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Manage Atlanta based engineering projects from beginning to end certification. This includes layout, design, BOM development and final quality control/testing
- Track projects in Microsoft Project or similar software program
- Provide weekly updates within the company to convey project process
- Manage outside contractors in engineering projects and product approval
- Ensure that all completed projects are processed for production and design files are loaded into BBI’s server
- Develop specs and scope of work for all inside and outside engineering projects
- Work with third party design services
- Oversee third party testing process and facilities, including all MSO certifications testing
- Work with external suppliers to develop and test new components/products
- Review & approve internal engineering changes
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Our Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of RF engineering and management experience in electronics
- MSO Certifications or similar a plus
- Good knowledge of RF circuit fundamentals and advanced design techniques
- Experienced with building project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project
- Experienced working with electronics manufacturing and design service suppliers
- Familiar with software development models to integrate RF Amplifiers with 1.8 GHz Smart Amplifier platforms
- Good working knowledge to develop automated test software applications
- Working knowledge of board level design, components, and CATV system design
Required Abilities and Skills:
- Ability to plan, and execute development projects with Senior Staff Engineers
- Ability to instruct and guide engineers, manufacturing facilities, and assemblers in implementing RF products
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead a highly skilled engineering staff
- Communications skills to work with internal and external project teams
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Capable of efficiently leading and managing a team
- Exceptional leadership skills including coaching, motivating, and empowering team members.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Strong problem solving skills with the proven ability to resolve complex problems
Company Offers:
- Salary range is $165k to $185 will commensurate with experience and education
