Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our orthopedic practice as a Call Center Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls from patients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Answer incoming calls from patients and assist with scheduling appointments.
2. Provide information about our orthopedic services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
3. Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
4. Verify patient information, update records, and ensure accuracy of data.
5. Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to facilitate patient care and resolve issues.
6. Follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling as needed.
7. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
8. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Prior experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare setting is a plus.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR) software.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and orthopedic procedures is desirable but not required.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
