What are the responsibilities and job description for the Call Specialist position at Advanced Endodontics?
Position Summary
Promote practice growth through effectively implementing administrative procedures and positive, professional presentation. Project the positive, friendly atmosphere of our practice by answering all calls in a cheerful and professional manner. Answer inquiries, provide/obtain information for, patients, referring offices, and other interested parties. Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence to patients, scheduling appointments, organizing, and maintaining paper and electronic files.
Work Hours/Shift: Must have availability Monday-Friday 7am-7pm
Travel: Some local travel and flexibility are required
Responsibilities:
- Communicates in a cordial, professional manner with patients via phone.
- Transfers incoming callers to appropriate department / location when necessary.
- New patient registration (inputting demographic information, insurance information, etc.).
- Assists patient via scheduling to obtain appointment as a first time patient and handles reschedule lists
- Updates computer referring dentist data base.
- Verifies patient data and insurance to ensure it is updated for accurate billings.
- Handles patient concerns or refers to administration appropriately.
- Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently in keeping schedules booked for the practitioners.
- Maintains updated documentation of identified action work lists needed for daily operations.

- Ability to multi-task in a stressful deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in an effective manner.
- Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic practice management system.
- Good organizing, coordination and office skills
