What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Advanced Home Health Services?
Responsibilities:
· Perform payroll processing activities, including compute wage and overtime payments, calculate and record involuntary and voluntary deductions as well as appropriate state/local income taxation.
· Load import files received from HR and agencies (All Companies).
· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
· Hold the highest standards for the protection of company and employee private information.
· Review, interpret and maintain garnishments, levies and child support orders in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.
· Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
· Assist with processing accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
· Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
· Process manual checks as needed
· Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders and customers (employees and their HR representation).
· Research and email appropriate audience with any data issues
Requirements:
· High School Diploma/GED.
· 2 plus years processing multi-state payroll. Experience with PayCom desirable
· Working knowledge of payroll best practices
· Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and tax
· Proficiency in Excel
· Strong work ethic and team player
· High degree of professionalism
· Ability to communicate with various levels of management
· Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
