Job Characteristics:

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Oversee and lead all areas of tooling and provide tooling staff with direction and priorities on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Optimize toolroom schedule for equipment and resource constraints
- Optimize tool build sequencing and resource allocation for internal tool builds
- Oversee tooling process, storage and inventory both internally and externally
- Identify and drive process improvements utilizing troubleshooting skills to optimize tool quality and build efficiency
- Drive 5S, equipment maintenance, safety, and employee training /development in the tooling area
- Responsible for coaching, training, and disciplining employees
- Participate in tool vendor selection, evaluation, and management
- Communicate with clients and vendors to ensure tools are delivered to specifications (schedules, costs, and modification)
- Oversee and support design and build of tooling and fixtures
- Oversee and support inspection, fit-up, and documentation of new tools as they arrive
- Repair damaged tooling by use of various tool repair techniques (welding, grinding, machining)
- Follow the standards of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Tool and Die or Machine Tool Technology
- 5 years of experience in injection molding tooling

Salary : $53,500 - $67,700
