The Event Manager will take responsibility for leading coordination of internal social events and meetings for employees at Santa Clara Valley campuses. This is an employee-facing role with a cross-functional focus.We’re seeking an influencer, organizer, and driver who thrives in an environment of complexity, is passionate about making things better, and is amazing at connecting strategy to execution. - Collaborate with all stakeholders to understand and define the needs of meetings and events while providing high-touch customer service.
- Learn our team’s policies and follow standard operating procedures.
- Take the lead to plan, support, and manage internal meetings and events for campus residents—ranging from small, intimate events to campus-wide celebrations. This involves establishing expectations and timelines to ensure parallel and independent work streams all implement simultaneously, seamlessly, and according to plan.
- Provide consistent, accurate, efficient communication between all parties.
- Navigate through ambiguity, identify objectives, and develop strong relationships to become a trusted partner. This role requires wearing multiple hats to make things happen in a cost- and operationally-efficient manner.
- Handle all aspects of event coordination, including space reservations, work orders for facility needs (e.g., furniture setups, janitorial, electrical, etc.), and production coordination.
- Lead customer-planning calls and drive entire meeting or event lifecycle while coordinating end-to-end logistics including event set-ups and onsite event oversight.
- Act as the Facilities point of contact for events, pulling in partners for support and providing visibility on events. They'll potentially also coordinate and direct various agency partners and vendors. They’ll collaborate with many teams to ensure success, including Environment Health & Safety, Security, Maintenance Ops, Interior Services, Security, People, and others.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Has 5 years of demonstrated experience in an event management role, in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Possesses excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation, and listening—able to frame issues, summarize information, and connect across all levels.
- Capable of preparing reports and polished Keynote decks for presentation to management, cross-functional partners, and customers to facilitate decisions among evolving priorities.
- Able to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and is extremely organized.
- Understands the company aesthetic
- Has expert event management knowledge—must be comfortable and experienced taking the lead throughout all stages of event lifecycles, including creative planning, vendor sourcing, site and accessibility planning, safety and emergency planning, guest journeys, staffing deployment, and budgeting.
- Able to comfortably dive into any event, identify customers’ requirements, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and craft execution plans.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering under tight deadlines while multitasking, re-prioritizing projects, and communicating priority updates to stakeholders.
- Possesses solid time management, metrics analysis and reporting, dependency management, and risk management skills.
- Experienced with vendor management and vendor best practices.

Compensation & Benefits:
This temporary role offers a salary of $130,000-$145,000 (prorated throughout the project duration of 6 months) depending on experience.
