Responsibilities:

  • Working with and training Retail Supervisors to raise the level of effectiveness across the entire area and region.
  • Act as an account manager for an assigned retail merchandising account.
  • Growing sales of incremental display locations, selling the execution of plan-o-gramed locations, executing initiatives, as well as maintaining in-stock conditions.
  • Developing and leveraging relationships with key influence and decision makers in assigned stores, markets, and regions.
  • Following sales call standards and orchestrating call coverage plans that meet the business needs of the client and retail customer.
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years previous experience managing key account in the retail or consumer packaged goods industry
  • Demonstrated history of building effective cross-functional relationships with stakeholders throughout the business
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Decision-making skills and ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-browsers

Personal transportation is essential.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of current POS status and opportunity areas
  • Takes ownership of inventory management with promotional sell through and inventory integrity

Consultative Selling - The process and behaviors for transferring a vendor relationship into a partner relationship and sustaining it. This approach to selling is not based on reaction to customer requests but rather the mutually profitable relationship whereby knowledge of the customers operations is preeminent and customer profit opportunities are identified by the customer management organization.

  • Develops and leverages KDM advocates at store level and higher level assignment
  • Demonstrates strong selling skills by utilizing EDRT selling processes with fact based selling; effectively using sell sheets, POS Reports, and selling cycle
  • Influences for results
  • Establishes themselves as category experts

Initiative - Is the ability to be proactive in solving problems or addressing opportunities that will bring increased results to ASM/Energizer, without prompting from others. It also involves taking action to overcome obstacles and capitalizing on potential new opportunities. Its focus is reacting quickly, but more importantly anticipating activity in order to maximize success.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
