What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Lab Technician position at Advantage Technical?
Job Location: Raleigh, NC
Hourly Rate: Up to $36hr depending on experience.
Hours: 1st shift: 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Summary:
- Come join our team! We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Raleigh, NC for an Electronic Lab Technician with 5 years of experience in building and testing prototype devices.
- Building and testing prototype devices.
- Construct, test, and repair prototype devices under test, including cables and connectors.
- Troubleshoot prototype devices using documentation and inputs from design engineers.
- PCBA rework and soldering.
- Fabricate cable harnesses and connectors based on voltage and current ratings.
- Manage and maintain lab equipment, instrument, and tools (e.g., hand and power tools).
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of power lab equipment and power lab safety.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience and knowledge of high voltage safety (e.g., safety procedures/practices, PPE, etc.).
- Experience and knowledge of machine shop (e.g., safety procedures/practices, etc.).
- Documentation skills.
- Collaborative working style and team-player attitude.
- Good organization skills.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Experience building and testing high-voltage and high-power electronics test fixtures a plus.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
