Advantage xPO seeks a highly motivated and skilled Welder to join our partner company's team in McPherson, KS. In this role, you will work alongside our partner company, ATP -Wabtec Inc, to create complex mechanical systems adhering to quality and safety standards. Shift: M-TH 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM | $19.00/hr.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform set-up, operation, and day to day maintenance of MIG welding equipment

* Read linear measuring devices accurately and determine assemblies are to specifications

* Weld around various shaft diameters, flat, vertical fillet and lap joints of 7 Ga. to 5/16" metal.

* Follow welding parameters set by standard specifications to produce quality parts

* Visually inspect welds to determine compliance within specifications

SUPERVISION:

Work under limited supervision, with continuous effort to improve operations, work and/or coordinate with other employees to streamline processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to read blueprints/drawings, specification/standards, and follow oral instructions

* Ability to use, read measuring devices and equipment

* AWS certified welder or pass In-house welding tests

* Ability to stand for approximately 8 to 10 hours per day

* Ability to lift 50 lbs. approximately twelve to sixteen times per hour
