What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer service manager position at Advantage?

Our client is a global nonmetallic miningcompany leader in the production and distribution of specialtyfertilizers iodine lithium and industrial chemicals.

Among theroles they are searching globally they are currently looking for anexperienced and dynamic Customer ServiceManager (based in Atlanta USA) to lead theircustomer service operations for the Iodine and Industrial Nitratesbusiness in the US and Canada.

His main responsibility will be tosupport the sales team in North America (NA) to successfully managethe sales forecasts attend customer inquiries / complaints and planthe delivery schedules.

Some responsibilitiesinclude :

  • Customer RelationshipManagement : In cooperation with the Sales Director and Managermaintain direct communication with clients related to ordertocashworkflow from order entry throughcollection.
  • Team Leadership : Lead mentor anddevelop the customer service team through encouragement andempowerment to ensure high performance and professionalgrowth.
  • Order Management : Oversee the handlingand processing of orders from the NA sales team with accuracy andtimeliness. Ensure timely and accurate delivery ofproducts.
  • QualityAssurance : Ensure quality claims are duly registered in the QualityManagement System (QMS) and follow up on them.

Coordinate with theSupply Chain and Quality teams on technical requirements related togrades packaging and otherspecifications.

Coordination : Collaborate withSales Supply Chain Logistics and Finance teams to ensure seamlesscommunication and service delivery.

Coordinate with Planning inChile on shipping programs and inventory schedules informing SalesDirectors / Managers of any unforeseen delays orissues.

  • Process Development : Develop togetherwith Sales and Supply Chain teams sales documentation procedurespolicies and standards to ensure consistency andefficiency.
  • Issue Resolution : Manage andresolve customer complaints and issues promptly andeffectively.
  • Reporting : Generate and analyzecustomer service metrics import / export statistics and prepare salesoverviews and auditable documentation to inform decisionmaking andstrategic planning.
  • ERP Consistency : Ensureconsistency between forecasts provided by Headquarters and ERPsystems.
  • Logistics Coordination : Work withlogistics companies to quote and organize deliveries by variousmeans of transportation.

Coordinate between Sales and Financedepartments regarding credit lines and accountreceivables.

Daily Customer Service : Providedaytoday followup and service to customers ensuring all inquiriesare addressed promptly.

The perfectcandidate has a bachelors degree with a business focus (orequivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in acustomer service management role preferably within the chemical orindustrial sectors.

He must have; (i) strong leadership and teammanagement abilities (ii) excellent communication and interpersonalskills and (iii) must be proficiency in Microsoft Office (mostlyexcel) ERP and CRM systems (SAP Dynamics and Salesforce / SFDC).

Itis highly desirable a good understanding of the chemical industrypreferably Iodine and Industrial Nitrates.
