Warehouse Operations Manager
Role Summary
Our client is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and manage the frontline team, including hiring, performance management, and the day-to-day management of the sort and freight dispatch process to ensure key performance metrics (KPIs) are met daily. This role reports to the General Manager.
Key Results Area
Managing and directing the operations team to ensure on-time quality and KPIs are met
Responsible for hiring all positions within the branch location and ensuring proper staffing levels
Following up on service issues, finding solutions, and achieving resolutions
Implementing standard processes and procedures
Responsible for building an operation that is capable of exceeding KPIs, increasing volume, and producing a profit
Sustaining the company’s culture through actively developing people, delegating work, communicating fundamentals and monitoring performance as well as motivating, as well as recognizing and rewarding individuals and teams
Establishing professional relationships and channels of communication with Independent Contractors that promote and support the goals of the business
Skills & Qualifications
Two years of management experience, preferably in a logistics/3PL environment
Ability to lead others
Capable of working independently, problem-solving, and communicating effectively
Effective at meeting deadlines
Experienced with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing employee performance evaluations
Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on MS Office
BA/BS in business or a related field
Strong distribution background is a plus
