The role you’ll contribute: Physician Office Supervisor
- Supervises the staff in the office to which they are assigned.
- Directs staff in the day to day activities of the office.
- Prepares and updates staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage in the practice. Works closely with the Practice Administrator on this task.
- Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, is responsible for training, development and assignment of tasks to the office staff.
- Coordinates completion of employee competencies in a timely manner.
- Assists Practice Administrator to ensure charges are entered daily and the revenue cycle process is meeting organization expectations (i.e. collecting copays, working denied claims)
- Serves as a liaison between Practice Administrator and office staff to coordinate successful delivery of care and services, informing Practice Administrator of any pertinent information or areas of concern.Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly departmental variances, budget, FTE, and expense variance reports/associated action plans
- Supports the Director in developing and implementing strategic plans for all aspects of assigned department operations with focus on OP Imaging. Meets market goals by achieving budgeted OP volume targets where applicable
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School diploma/equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical practice in either a clinical or administrative role.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding experience & CMS, Joint Commission and corporate quality indicators
