The role you’ll contribute:
The Office Coordinator is an accountable member of the Endoscopy team. She/he serves as a representative of AdventHealth Ocala and actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Office Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Endoscopy team by overseeing department supplies and equipment and supporting unit operations. The Office Coordinator works under the director of the Assistant Nurse Manager and the Surgical Services Manager.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Responsible for understanding and providing appropriate communication with patients and all other customers through face to face contact, phone contact or computer. She/He will develop and maintain working relationships with physician office staff.
- Demonstrates appropriate handling of medical record and other confidential information by coordinating smooth transition of records from Endoscopy staff to Medical Records to ensure completeness of charts.
- Oversees department equipment (including fax and copy machines) and office supplies, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained/ordered.
- Follows scheduling procedures in accurate and timely fashion for Endoscopy following the AdventHealth guidelines for return calls/booking information.
- Demonstrates ability to set up charts and documents needed for clinic encounters for Endoscopy.

- Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
- Knowledge of general office and communication equipment
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good problem-solving skills
- Flexibility, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with members of different teams
- High School Grad or Equiv
- 3 years Position-related experience
