Stop what you are doing to assist the customer. Meet/exceed customer needs in a positive courteous manner. Demonstrate knowledge of food items, ingredients, allergens, etc. by answering questions and making suggestions. Look for solutions that will avoid saying “no”. Make eye contact and smile. Greet and welcome each and every guest in a friendly and courteous manner. Display appropriate body language at all times. Project a positive image and energy. Make every customer feel important. Be “assertively friendly,” actively seek contact with customers. Keep customers informed and up to date on any issues. Let them know how long it will take if an item is being prepared or needs to be stocked. Look for opportunities to “wow” customers during their visit. Maintains professional behavior and appearance at all times in the workplace through grooming, dress, language and non-verbal behavior. Demonstrates knowledge and skills for appropriate communication and courtesy using AIDET in customer interaction and LAST in service recovery situations. Understands and utilizes "managing up" products, services, associates, departments. Meets production/service deadlines and demonstrates cost conscious behaviors. Cleans and stocks throughout shift. Demonstrates the ability to accurately and efficiently charge customers for food purchased while maintaining outstanding customer service. Sanitation Understands and adheres to all food safety/sanitation standards related to the position. Demonstrates proper sanitation procedures related to hand washing (when, how), hair restraints, gloves (single use), ice machine procedures. Demonstrates basic understanding of infectious diseases that relate to cleaning, use of hand sanitizers, and hand washing. Understands cleaning chemicals and their properties as they relate to their position including Quat sanitizer standards and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing; removing debris from surface, sanitizing work area properly. Safety Understands kitchen hazards (burns, cuts, slips & falls, PPE) and ensures a safe working environment by following training/safety guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of food temperature danger zone. Demonstrates safety guidelines in the kitchen including knowledge of emergency exits, fire extinguisher use, and emergency preparedness. Food Preparation/Service Demonstrates organization, time management and multi-tasking skills necessary to produce food items to be ready for service. Demonstrates consistency in following job specific routines. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform job functions and personal interactions. Is able to use all communication tools and methods necessary to complete required tasks. Demonstrates knowledge of safe internal food temperatures. Identifies problems in a timely manner to the Retail Supervisor, Chef or Manager as appropriate. Ensures prompt response to requests for products and follows up if delays or product availability problems are identified. Assumes additional responsibilities to support team efforts when necessary. Quality Produces quality food (flavor, appearance, temperature) following standardized recipes in a timely manner. Ensures all food prior to and during service is evaluated for optimal food quality including taste testing. Rotates stock to ensure first in first out of dating to maintain fresh product. Demonstrates knowledge of food items served and accurate portion sizes while maintaining outstanding customer service. Strives to go above and beyond the customer's expectations. Regulatory Understands and adheres to all HIPPA regulations. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Equipment Understands and demonstrates proper use and cleaning techniques of all equipment necessary to perform functions of the job. Understands and demonstrates food safety related to proper use of cutting boards. Qualifications What You Will Need: Ability to read, write and follow written/oral instructions No Previous Experience Required BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is providing a superb customer experience. The Customer Experience Ambassador will engage customers and staff and actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Duties include greeting all customers with a smile and positive attitude and assisting them as needed. The focus will be meeting/exceeding customer needs with the understanding that many customers are associates on a limited lunch break or visitors with friends and/or family in critical health situations. This position is cross-functional and assigned areas include but not limited to cashier/dining room, food preparation, food service, and fresh food bar. This role is also responsible for preparing, serving and maintaining the quality of hot or cold food items as well as maintaining an orderly work area. Must meet production/service deadlines and demonstrate cost conscious behaviors. Must have detailed knowledge of food items and ingredients and interact positively with customers to answer questions and promote food offerings.
