Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor to join our team at our Stockton, CA, location. The program is scheduled to run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Applicants must be available to work during the hours of the program to be considered for this position. The Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor’s duties and responsibilities include:
- Instructing students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
- Evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
- Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital.
- Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
- Providing a professional role model for students
This role requires the following qualifications:
- Current CPT License.
- Must have 3 years of documented on the job experience in a CLIA lab within the last 5 years.
- 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in all aspects of blood collection including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
- Must be comfortable with speaking to large groups, multi-taking and critical thinking.
- Efficient with computers and technology.
- Organized and detail oriented.
