Position Description Summary

The Human Resources Manager position means being an integral part of our international team. This position reports to the VP of Operations of the company. This roll supports recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, policy implementation, training, performance management, employment law compliance, HR administrative tasks, and employee offboarding, as well as all other HR needs. Advisicon is looking for someone whose is interested in helping our company grow and retain the current and future staff and whose experience reflects engagement and leadership skills.

The Human Resources Manager is someone who understands about aligning the team with the company Mission Vision, and Values. Advocate for creating processes and procedures that will help the company grow and staff for the future, while mitigating employment risk. The Human Resources Manager will function as an employee advocate as well as an employer advocate. This position requires a candidate that can lead collaboratively and drive and produce results.

The Human Resources Manager will be professional, personable, reliable, and capable of multitasking. We are seeking an individual who is engaging, naturally friendly, bright, inquisitive, and an excellent communicator.

Human Resources Manager Job Duties:

· Provide visible leadership in development and implementation of effective Human Resource programs, processes, and procedures

· Maintain an understanding of, and ensure compliance with, State and Federal employment laws and Company Policy

· Able to translate complicated regulations into real world practicable employee responses

· Partners with management for strategic planning, training, and communicating HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance

· Proactively seek continual education regarding HR standards, laws, and methodologies

· Ensure quarterly HR initiatives and updates are presented at all Company employee meetings

· Drives recruiting for strategic positions utilizing internal and external resources

· Maintain current and applicable employee position descriptions (PD)

· Manages the online application systems (Advisicon website, LinkedIn, etc.) such as job postings, applicant review and forwarding to appropriate department manager.

· Collaborate with management to screen candidates’ applications

· Manage the recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process

· Maintain Company employment records electronically and hardcopy files

· Track Performance evaluation date schedule

· Proactively assist management with performance evaluations, promotions and performance and compensation-based plans

· Manage and deliver all HR spreadsheets for benefits census, performance evaluation deadlines, etc.

· Ensure all employee change forms are processed with supporting documentation and submitted to Finance in a timely manner (Salary increase, promotions, certification achievements, benefit changes, etc.) and copied to all HR files.

· Assist with creating rewards/recognition program that aligns key business objectives to employee goals

· Provide employer and employee relation counseling when necessary

· Secure, communicate and administer all Company benefit plans

· Restructure and rewrite Employee Handbook, update as needed

· Ensure our Company is always ERISA compliant

· Work with management and employees on any HR issues, warnings (PIP-Performance Improvement Plan) and termination processes

· Manage the off boarding of employees as needed

· Handles COBRA Administration via (WageWorks), unemployment claims, all “Leave” Acts that are applicable (WA-PFML, FMLA, OFLA and/or etc.)

· Respond to reference checks and employment verification status.

· Conduct investigations, maintain records and represent the Company at hearings

· Ensure recognition for employee anniversary, congratulations, recognition announcements, etc.

· Manage and report to improve company cultural with feedback from OfficeVibe surveys

· Represent the Company in community and networking events

· Attend career and job fairs in the local community

· Other office duties as Needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP Certification preferred or equivalent

· A minimum of five years’ Human Resource experience (Technology Industry preferred):

· Federal and State employment laws

· Recruiting

· Onboarding & Offboarding

· Company benefit administration

· Compensation plan management

· Employee performance management

· Risk management skills

· Employment law experience is a plus

· Proven ability to work independently, discreetly and handle confidential information

· Ability to analyze problems and make appropriate decisions on your own

· People management skills

· Organized and ability to manage multiple priorities

· Ability to adapt quickly, think strategically and seek solutions to the unfamiliar

· Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills

· Ability to create MS Power Point presentations using O365

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

· Strong internet navigating and research skills
