Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leaders, educators, and other key stakeholders to plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of learning programs to target achievement of the organization’s goals and initiatives. Conducts training needs analysis and uses instructional design and curriculum development principles to deliver learning programs.
- Develop engaging and effective e-learning courses that use graphics, videos, simulations, and animations. Maintain and update existing e-learning courses.
- Integrate visual, video, and audio technology into the course development process, ensuring they are optimized for performance. Assist in the conversion of instructor-led training programs to virtual solutions.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to department e-learning design standards (branding guidelines, accessibility requirements, imagery, etc.). Maintain digital files in a central and easily accessible location for editing and storage and ensures online learning catalogue is up to date.
- Utilize process improvement tools to lead projects involving education that improve quality, team member performance, and customer satisfaction, while reducing waste and/or cost. Observe trends and patterns to identify improvement opportunities.
- Consults with leaders, staff, and other key stakeholders to design education and development strategies that align department, division, and system priorities and resources; ensures that educational programs help facilitate change, improve performance and/or achieve organizational goals. Helps leaders and others work through complex situations to foster team member engagement in learning and development.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Digital Media, Video design and production, Education, Communications, or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years proven experience developing e-learning with asynchronous tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.), along with experience in graphic design and layout (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite). Experience with multimedia development/editing software (i.e., image, audio, and video editing) preferred.
- Successful candidates will have a portfolio of previous work to share with hiring manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of web technologies, instructional design software and collaboration tools and related web tools.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), or similar products. Ability to learn and proficiently use other applications.
- Practical experience translating learning outcomes into virtual deliverables. Ability to clearly articulate ideas, concepts and visions for learning projects.
- Excellent assessment and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with instructional and web-based design including audience analysis, design purpose strategies and assistance with content strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, verbal and written communication skills. Able to provide educational offerings that ensures translation of teachings into actions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively, independently and as a member of a team.
