You can make a difference in the life of someone special! Advocates is looking for a creative and compassionate Mentor (1:1 support staff) and teacher to work with a gifted young woman with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will help her in learning key independent living skills, teach her skills to remain safe and manage her money, and assist her in experiencing social, recreational, and physical fitness opportunities in the community. The ideal candidate will be very professional and have a strong ability to maintain healthy boundaries. The ideal candidate will also have effective communication with Supervisor and show leadership skills, patience, and strong organizational skills. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
Hours and days of work
Monday (9 AM - 3 PM)
Wednesday (3 PM - 9 PM)
Saturday, Sunday (9 AM - 3 PM and 3 PM - 9 PM)
Pay rate: $16 per hour
Location: Baldwinsville, NY
