Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Travel Demand Forecasting Consultant to be based in Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for intercity travel demand model design, development, calibration, and application.


• Responsible for maintaining, updating, and applying the AECOM national intercity model.


• Responsible for travel survey design, sampling plan development, processing, and analysis, including household travel surveys, transit on-board surveys, focus groups, stated preference surveys, and other specialized survey types.


• Assemble and prepare data for use in travel demand models.


• Analyze markets.


• Evaluate projects for Alternatives Analysis/DEIS and major investment studies.


• Write reports and present findings.


• Communicate with clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.

Position requires:

1. CUBE/TP or TRANSCAD;


2. ARCGIS, MS EXCEL, MS ACCESS and SPSS, or SAS;


3. Travel demand analysis and forecasting principles;


4. Estimating travel demand models using software or coding languages such as Alogit, Biogeme, or R;


5. Econometrics;


6. Data analytics, including transportation-related "big data" datasets and data analysis software tools;


7. Software development or programming skills; and


8. Economic analysis of transportation impacts or benefits.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $92,491.00 - $129,912.47.
