Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented BIM Manager, to join our Rail & Transit team in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Operations Director of Engineering, Rail & Transit, this position will be responsible for looking after all BIM/CAD aspects for Rail & Transit projects and participating in the preparation of technical proposals for future projects.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of all rail/transit BIM/CAD related elements and specifications to meet project requirements.
Helping guiding clients/teams on best practices and helping clients with software/environment decisions.
Managing junior, and mid-level staff and consultants performing BIM/CAD work for both rail/transit-based projects.
Writing BIM/CAD manuals for larger projects, if no standards are provided, writing short guides if current manuals exist, to guide BIM/CAD compliant workflows.
Reviewing BIM/CAD documents for CAD compliance against client CAD standards.
Developing BIM/CAD project resource files and implementing them for better project workflow.
Representing AECOM on all assigned technical matters relating to BIM/CAD issues.
Regular contacts are with all levels of employees and management staff in the Rail & Transit department.
Regular contact with clients, and sub-consultants, and other technical personnel.
Other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in looking after medium to large rail/transit-based projects
Experience in using ProjectWise and BIM360
Experience in using Bentley software, Microstation, InRoads and InRail
Experience in using Autodesk Projects, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Experience writing and defining BIM/CAD standards
At least 10 years BIM/CAD experience
Prior experience in a consulting environment
Experience in managing large multi-disciplinary rail/transit projects
Prior experience using ProjectWise
Interest in developing technical skills and knowledge as software versions change
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $93K-$140K.
