Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Deputy Department Manager to join a dynamic Transportation design team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is an engineering position for an experienced Project/Design Manager with an emphasis on Highway/Roadway design who will be responsible for the technical design and management of roadway design projects in North Carolina. As the Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage the production of technical designs and assist in growing the engineering transportation team.
Responsibilities
Serving as Senior Project Manager to key roadway design project pursuits.
Managing budgets, schedules, engaging with clients, managing subcontractors, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables
Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity
Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advance design concepts, techniques, and standards
Assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel and technical quality
General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high-quality performance
Mentor and lead a team of Transportation professionals
Qualifications
Minimum:
BS Civil Engineering Degree or related field
Ten-plus years of transportation engineering experience
Preferred:
Ten-plus years of experience in transportation/highway engineering and management of design projects
Experience with design and management of limited access facilities
North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience in engineering leadership roles and project management.
NCDOT Design and Design Build experience
Accomplished track record in Transportation/Roadway design projects and client relationships
Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK, 3D corridor modeling
Experience as a seller/doer for transportation in the North Carolina market

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $107,00.00 to $165,000.00
