Job Description
AECOM has an opening for an I&C Engineer to support our growing Energy Business Line. For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices in multiple locations across the United States.
Our team provides a wide range of I&C engineering services across markets sectors including Industrial Facilities (Oil and Gas, Mining, Water, Power Generation), power distribution (OH/UG power systems, substations, EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), renewables (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind), and next generation energy (hydrogen, fuel cells, electrolyzers, etc.). We are looking for an up-and-coming leader with a I&C engineering background to promote our skills to new clients and maintain our existing client base.
The successful candidate is expected to be a detail orientated, experienced engineer who can make decisions independently under the guidance of senior staff. The focus of the experience must be in the energy or power industry associated with I&C engineering and design. Experience with battery energy storage and/or solar/wind power is a plus.

Attending and leading client meetings
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Occasional travel to client/project sites
DCS—Energy

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred from ABET accredited college or university
- 6 years of relevant experience in industrial facility engineering
- Able to participate in field walks and create field sketches, take dimensions, climb ladders, etc. as necessary
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 Years of experience as an I&C Engineer associated with the design of I&C systems.
- Familiarity with control systems including PLC or DCS based systems including automation and programming
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE,PIP etc).
- Familiarity with InTools and SmartPlant based systems
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with control systems for Solar or wind facilities including facilities with BESS systems

- Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $90,165 - $166,805 annually exempt.
