Seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist with 8 plus years of industry experience with skills in wetland and waterway assessment and permitting, ecological assessments, and agency coordination.
This position would be located at our offices in Hunt Valley, MD or Baltimore, MD. Work may include planning, concept designing, regulatory compliance and permitting on current and future projects in Maryland and across the Mid-Atlantic Area. Tasks will include providing scientific support for field investigations, feasibility studies, design and construction inspection phases of projects including report writing, field data collection and coordinating in the field with resource and regulatory agencies and clients.
Responsibilities:

Lead or support high profile, complex planning projects, such as waterway assessments, permitting, wetland assessments and other permitting projects.

Lead or participate in fieldwork Prepare written and graphic reports and make presentations.

Prepare basic data and scientific documents Develop and help manage project budgets and schedules.

Must be able to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with some overnight stays possible.

Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor´s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, or related field and 8 years of directly applicable experience.

Ability to write well, distill supporting information in the scientific literature, communicate technical issues to a wide range of readers.

Strong, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Understanding of personal role in supporting the marketing of company services by delivering high-quality, accurate work products to external and internal clients.

Proficient in using software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS.

Experience performing stream assessments, biological assessments, and field surveys in the mid- Atlantic region.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA\ BS 8 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education. in Environmental Science or related field.

8 years of related water resources experience.

Must have a valid driver's license.

US Citizenship Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MS Degree in Environmental Science with 8 Years of experience

Both tidal and non- tidal wetlands assessment and permitting experience
